Hand coiled native clay, stone burnished slips, mesquite sap paint, pit fired.

Compared to photos in Dirt For Making Things, this could be the work of Grace Monahan.

Circa 1950s.  2 1/2" deep by 5" diameter.

No chips or cracks, nice scrolls on buff over polished red base.
