San Carlos Apache Indian weaver Robert Henry, Jr. made this small burden basket in the 1970s.

3 1/2" tall by 4 1/2" diameter, plus the fringe.

Woven with willow and devils claw, the red is aniline dyed willow.

The collector purchased this new at The House of Six Directions in Scottsdale.

Robert is a son of the famous weaver Cecilia Nelson Henry, the matriarch of a large family of basket weavers.
