Dating to 1925 when Maria signed just her name spelled Marie.
Hand built with native clay, stone burnished to a high shine, reverse slip painted feathers, by Julian.
Pit fired to a gunmetal lustrous black.
12 1/2" diameter by 2 1/2" deep, very good original condition, has been well cared for!
Pictured a very similar piece in Spivey's seminal book "The Legacy of MARIA Poveka Martinez".
Metal stand was made for it to display well, is included.
