The Nampeyo Family Migration design on a small pottery jar by Tonita Nampeyo.

Hand built with native clay, stone burnished, decorated with vegetal and mineral paints, pit fired.

This graceful bowl stands 3 1/2" tall and is 5" diameter.

Note the perfection of the ten "wings".

Purchased from us years ago, it is featured in Stephen Ledoux's book "Beautiful Sites and Sensations- Small Collections of Native American and Other Arts".

Perfect original condition.
