Very rare antique pottery jar from the Santa Ana Pueblo dates 1830-1850.
Traditionally hand built with native clay and slips, pit fired.
Standing 7 1/2" tall and 9" diameter, there is a crack as pictured from the rim which has been stabilized, and various other age related wear.
A note from Frank Harlow verifies the design elements that indicate the dates of 1830-1850.
Note the design elements for a circle, and the opposing sides have the design inverted.
This is a wonderful example of historic Pueblo pottery.
